The UNI 8 is a single walled, weather-proof protective cabinet for accommodation of electronic equipment. The cabinet protects the installed components. The housing of the UNI 8 is made of fibreglass reinforced polycarbonate. The UNI 8 Active cabinet incorporates a specifically designed thermostatically controlled cooling head and is designed specifically for housing Active Telecom equipment such as DSLAM’s. The UNI8 Active cabinet is a very cost effective solution for moving the active DSL equipment closer to the subscriber premise and thereby maximising data rates.
