AFP's tamper proof LC cable assemblies are designed to prevent unauthorized and inadverted changes in highly sensitive applications such as Datacenters and Secure IT networks, where multiple physical layer classifications may exist.

Assemblies use the AFP Uni-Body LC connector (patent applied), that plugs into any industry compliant LC adapter or active interface, and can only be disconnected with a special keyed extraction tool. Eight different key configurations are available as standard options.

The extraction tools allow for easy cable assembly removal, even from very high density patch panels. The tools are colour coded to match the adapters. An optional RFID tag can be embedded into the connector enabling smart connecting and asset monitoring.

The custom dust cap must be applied upon connector removal from a port, which promotes good fiber discipline.
