Is My House Insurance Invalid ? That appears to be a matter of discretion for the insurance company. We have spoken to numerous insurance companies and brokers and the reply differs each time. The fact is, if your insurance policy requires that you have a monitored alarm system connected then it is your responsibility to do exactly that. If you have had ADSL installed and the alarm panel is now unfiltered then it is likely that it will not dial-out in the case of a break-in and it is possible that your insurers will not honour the cover. It is so easy to make a call to your alarm installer and so cheap to get it fixed - why leave it to chance ? |
