Why do I now need to have my alarm system upgraded ? If you have had a monitored alarm panel installed some time ago and have since upgraded to broadband then you need to make sure the system is properly filtered. It's most likely that when you upgraded to Broadband (ADSL) you did not inform your alarm supplier, but you should. |

Is there an alternative ? You could have two telephone lines, one for your Broadband and one for your alarm panel. But this is expensive. Filtering your alarm panel properly avoids this double cost. |

How do I get this filter installed ? You need to contact your original alarm installer and tell them what you have read here. Point them to this website if they look at you blankly ! |

Will my alarm company know what I am talking about ? We would hope they would but in our experience not always. Again, insist that they look at this website and they can contact us if they have any questions. We specified this product for the European market and we know the product inside-out. |
